Suge Knight Knocked Out During Fight At LA Club

Hip-Hop mogul Marion “Suge” Knight was assaulted and involved in an altercation with an unknown man in front of a Hollywood nightclub last night (May 10).

Knight was at Shag nightclub when he began arguing with another man, reportedly over money.

According to TMZ.com, Knight and his entourage assaulted the man, who managed to land a blow which knocked Knight unconscious for almost three minutes.

An unknown woman who attempted to commandeer an SUV and transport Knight to the hospital struck the vehicles in front and in back of her, before security removed her from the driver’s seat.

Knight was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor wounds.

He did not file a police report and allegedly refused to cooperate with Los Angeles Police Department officers.

More Details, Video In Suge Knight Assault

More details have surfaced surrounding a fracas in which a man was beaten by the entourage of rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight, who was also knocked unconscious during the altercation.

Sources have told AllHipHop.com that five to six men assaulted an unknown man in front of the packed club, apparently over a monetary dispute.

An eyewitness told AllHipHop.com that all of the men, including Knight, began to beat, kick and stomp the man.

Witnesses told AllHipHop.com that Knight became irate when he noticed another man filming the altercation with a cell phone.

Knight allegedly put the man who was taping the incident in a headlock.

The man broke free from Knight’s grip.

A few minutes later the man pulled in front of Shag’s, popped his trunk and pulled out a pole-like object that was used to strike Knight on the back of the head.

“Blood started gushing everywhere,” an eyewitness told AllHipHop.com. He sat on the sidewalk unconscious for several minutes. It's hard to see from the photos online, but there was a nasty gash on the back of his head."

A representative with wearyourcity.com captured the aftermath of the altercation on a camera phone, although the actual incident was over by the time taping began.

Knight was treated at a local hospital, where he refused to file a police report or cooperate with Los Angeles Police Department officials.

Miss Jones Moved Off Hot 97

Hot 97 announced the cancellation of its long-running and often controversial show "Miss Jones in the Morning." As early as July 21st, the show's "AM Drive" time slot will now be split between two shows with a national following.
In a statement issued by the station's parent company Emmis Communications, listeners in the New York Tri-State area tuning in at 5am will catch Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg, which currently airs on Saturday and Sunday mornings. With co-host Peter Rosenberg having gained his popularity conducting interviews on YouTube, the show continues to enjoy a strong online presence. That popularity is boosted by Cipha Sounds' history in New York and status as an MTV personality.

At 7am, Rosenberg will sign off, leaving Cipha Sounds to pair up with the nationally syndicated "Big Boy's Neighborhood. The Los Angeles-based show, which once aired in New York on rival station Power 105.1 FM, signed a multi-year syndication deal with ABC Radio Networks.

"This  provides a very special AM show with both local and national talent with less edge, a little more celebrity, and a whole lot of entertainment," the statement proclaims.

The move comes as Emmis prepares to test Aribtron's newest radio research: the Portable People Meter. The PPM system will track the listening behavior and history of each person studied by having each of them where a small device that will record the information. The data created is used as the currency stations use to buy and sell radio advertising.
