Anthony stays with Ebony until she goes to sleep. The crew go to the motel to settle in. They return to pick up Ajay a bit later. Big Mama stays with her when the crew go to Ron’s house. They’re waiting on news from Ray’s bail hearing. The hearing is set for 9:00 the next morning.

At Ron’s during the evening, he give the crew the 411 on Ray’s family and where they live. All they have to do now is wait for Ray to bond out. Poppa had given Chill, Ebony’s car to drive. He’d suggested they return the rental car and save some money. The crew had taken him up on the offer. Now with her car to drive, the crew come up with another plan.

A female member of the crew will drive it. She will keep April and Yolanda close. Hopefully this will bait Ray to come out of hiding and try to finish the job. Once he’s out on bail. The crew also want to snuff out Shuntay, Sonya and Tina. The female crew want to stomp their asses for setting Ebony up in the first place.

Renee drives the car the first evening. April, Yolanda, Lynn and Jan ride along. They’re hoping to see either or all 3 of the hood rats. But they don’t find either of the girls this evening.

Chill and Ajay stay at Ron’s most of the evening. Smoking party flavors and waiting for a call about Ray’s release. The rest of the crew hit the streets in the van. Charles and David ride along. They show them the spots to check out. Even though the crew’s arrival to H-town had been kept on the DL. Ray’s clique is ghost. The crew can’t find anyone who’d conspired against Ajay’s girl. They return to Ron’s house around 9:30pm. There is still no news.

Nina, Rebbie and T-baby go back to the hospital to stay with Ebony. Big Mama went home. The rest of the crew hit the nightspots. All the while searching for a new lead. It seems all of Ebony’s conspirers are hiding out. The crew turn in early. They want to be well rested for the next day.

The crew get up at 7am Friday morning and go to Ron’s. Ajay call the hospital. He talks to Ebony before leaving the motel. She’s in better spirits this morning. She feels better but her appetite still hasn't returned.

“You know you have to eat something. Right baby?” he ask.

“I’m just not hungry right now,” she whines.

“Yeah alright. But you're going to have to eat something for me when I come out there. Cool?”
“When are you coming back?”

“I don’t know yet. Because you know I have to peep things out first,” He answers, “but I’m going to be there as soon as I can. Okay?”

“Okay. I’ll see you then,” she says.

She’s content he is coming back soon.

“In a minute baby,” he says.

They hang up.

Ebony feels better knowing her crew is here for her. And her girls are here with her. Tonya and Bre call from Cleveland and talk to her for a long time this morning. She’d also gotten call from her mother, all the crew mother’s, April and Yolanda. This keeps her on the phone most of the day. Renee, Jan and Lynn come by to see her after leaving the motel. They’re picking up Rebbie, Nina and T-baby. They’re meeting the guys at Ron and Carolyn’s house. Big Mama is back to stay awhile. Ron and Carolyn are going to Ray’s hearing while the crew wait at their house for an update.

At the courthouse they learn Ray’s coach has made arrangements for Ray to be released only to him. And only he is allowed to post bail. Sweet Ray had told his coach he feared for his life during his one phone call. WONDER WHY?

Ray know Ebony’s crew. He knew they would come to Houston after they found out what he’d done. He also know they’re tight with Ron and can get the inside scoop on his location.

Anywhere in the H-Town area. Coach arranges with the court to have him go and stay with relatives in Dallas until he can be tried. Coach reminds the judge of Ray’s previous assault earlier in the month.

“By some guys from his neighborhood” and “he needs to be protected.”

Coach has no idea the crew are here. But he tell the judge about the visit from John and Poppa Percy two days prior. The judge permits Ray to leave for his protection until his trial. Trial is set for 6 months later.

Coach leaves the courthouse with Ray. Ron and Carolyn follow behind them in an unknown car. They phone the crew from their cell phone.

“It look like these muafuckaz is heading for Hobby, man,” Ron tell Chill.

The crew hurry to the airport. They’re trying to catch Ray before he can get inside. But Coach is still a step ahead of them. He’d arranged for two police officers to escort them into the terminal. And remain there until Ray is safely boarded and his flight departs. Ron and the crew can’t even chance getting close enough to see which gate he departs from. There are four gates in the boarding area which Renee and Lynn had tracked them too. They tell their crew he’d either gone to Spokane, Topeka, Dallas or Jacksonville. Ray’s trail is cold just like that. Ron doesn’t have a clue. He can only ask around in the hood. To see if anyone knew of folks Ray might have in one of the 4 cities. Earlier in the courtroom the judge hadn’t disclosed the destination. The crew have no idea where Ray has gone. They're all upset Ray has slipped through their fingers. Ajay is visibly enraged on the trip back. Instead of going to the hospital. He ask Charles to show him where the Coach lives.
