I hear Young Buck is going to be releasing
a lot of tracks going at G-Unit. I’m not sure if he should do things that way. 50 Cent could get all “diddy”
on him and we’ll all be starting the “Free Young Buck” movement. I think they should just all be cool and
go their separate ways.
On “Laugh Now, Cry Later,” Young Buck says:
“I’m glad they kicked me out the f**king group/ ‘Cause now the world sees I’m the mother
f***in’ truth/ Now the streets like ‘Damn, homey, what happened to you/ I bet this conversation now/ I bet they
tappin’ it too / I get paper, if you so major / You’re team ain’t s**t without the number one player!”
I know you heard it, but I just got it last night. Young Buck indirectly comments on G-Unit on the remix
of “Game’s Pain.” I have inserted where I personally think he is talking about his former friends.
“I’m talking ‘bout Scarface, Outkast and 8Ball / UGK all day is what we would play, dog /
I was in the blind like my name Ray Charles / Things you go through, Game, is what makes stars / All of my enemies, I don’t
hate y’all / ‘Cuz I understand that it’s me that makes Y’all/”
“You don’t
(50 Cent and G-Unit), but all the real folk roll with me / You won’t so I’ma hold down your city (stab)/ You want
me, shawty, now the time to come and get me / I’m Makaveli training and we on that old Biggie.
What’s
funny is The Game said, “Welcome Home,” but isn’t “home” G-Unit or Cash Money? Perhaps Game
was being metaphysical and “home” is a mental state of being or mental freedom? LMAO. One thing is for sure, Buck
isn’t free from the G-Unit contract yet.
Game/Young Buck Mixtape Details Revealed, Producer Sheds Light On Collabo
With buzz beginning to stir for the upcoming Game and Young Buck mixtape, SOHH
caught up with the man responsible for the project, Black Wall Street producer Nu Jerzey Devil to explain
how the two former enemies joined forces and what to expect from the G-Unit dropouts.
News recently hit the net that Game and Buck will be releasing joint mixtape next month. Game associate Nu Jerzey Devil hit SOHH up with
the details.
"[The mixtape is] not gonna be totally Game and Buck, but Buck will have some
features on there, couple of songs," Nu Jerzey Devil told SOHH. "Not even on some disses or none of that, we just gonna go
ahead and make good music, 'You Know What It Is Volume 5.'"
Nu Jerzey Devil also confirmed
that California's DJ Skee will not be involved with the mixtape, despite prior reports that stated that
he would contribute. As of yet there is no official release date but the producer offered his predictions for when the final
project should hit the streets.
"We ain't got an exact date, 'cause you never know
what's gonna happen," he said. "Everyday is a new day and the music gets better. We're shooting for the
second week in July."
Aside from the upcoming mixtape, the BWS producer also gave SOHH
the inside scoop on how Game and Buck got together despite the constant diss records aimed at each other.
"I was reading online [about] Buck having shouted out "Fuck Gunit" at a show, and then the idea came to me," he explained. "[I] hit up Game about Buck, saying we should
get him on the mixtape. Then I hollered at Buck and he was more than happy to hear about that and I put 'em on a song. Real recognize real. They were the realest ones outta Gunit anyway. So we went ahead
and made it happen."
In addition to the mixtape, The Game will also feature Buck amongst
several other rappers on the remix to the Keyshia Cole assisted single "Game's Pain," off his
new cd, L.A.X. The West Coast rapper plans to drop several regional remixes to the song, including a New
York version, a Southern version and a West Coast mix.
"We gonna drop those on our XM Radio
show this Friday." Nu Jerzey Devil revealed. "You got Fat Joe, Bun B, Buck, Jadakiss
- they all on there doing their thing. Until we drop it, we might just add more people to it. Expect it all."
L.A.X. is scheduled to hit stores on July 22nd. =======================
The Game Sides W/ Young Buck, Releases New G-Unit Diss Track
A day after ousted G-Unit member Young Buck released a diss record aimed at 50
Cent titled, "The Taped Conversation," in response to the GUnit general posting an emotional phone conversation between the two on the net, The Game has come to the aid of the Cashville emcee
by releasing his own diss track calling out the Unit.
The Game's song, entitled "Taped Convo" featuring Ralphage, the prank caller, finds the west coast rapper and former
G-unit member proclaiming that it's his turn to take aim at 50 Cent and the rest of G-Unit.
He
starts off the record referring to 50, Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks as wangsters.
"Its a 'G' in Young Buck / It's a 'G' in the Game / Banks, Yayo and 50, ain't no 'G'
in they name / I'm a certified gangsta /f*ck them wangstas..."
The Game's lyrical
onslaught continues as he questioned Fif's morals, addressing his relationship with his son and ex-girlfriend and the
loyalty to his crew.
"You don't care about your son, if you did he would get yanked
up / taping n*ggas phone calls what kind of sh*t is that... I told Buck buck in '05 I could never stay loyal / to a homo
snitch n*gga that's weaker than tin foil / Oh why, oh why this n*gga wanna play games / with that Cashville n*gga and
that Ceder Block gangsta / Get the f*ck outta Tyson's mansion and turn the drama up / This n*gga a b*tch tried to burn
his own baby momma up..."
As SOHH previously reported, on Tuesday (June 17) hip-hop personality Miss Info released the first in a two-parts phone
conversation between Buck and Fif, allowing listeners to fully recap Buck's pleads and promises of loyalty to the head
of G-Unit. The conversation opened with Buck trying to convince 50 that he shouldn't be compared to prior beefs he's
had with former associates including Bang'em Smurf and The Game. =============================
Young Buck's New Manager Speaks On 50 Cent
Not
even 24 hours after 50 Cent leaked the full 16 minute conversation with Young Buck, the saga has now taken a Machiavellian
twist, as Young Buck’s manager Blue Williams has accused 50 of “doctoring” the audio tape.
Yesterday, Buck released a diss track called “The Taped Conversation,” deriding 50 Cent as dishonest
and questioning the loyalty of remaining G-Unit member Lloyd Banks.
Williams also said the tape
is over a year old. “Just so that it is clear, this obviously edited and doctored recording was made from a phone conversation
between Young Buck and 50 Cent-recorded and leaked by 50 Cent,” Williams told AllHipHop.com early this morning. “It
was made over a year ago, the first time Buck was kicked out of G-Unit for being a man and communicating with people
that 50 deemed his ‘enemies.’ You only hear one side of the conversation.”
Williams
also dismissed any ideas that there will be a long, drawn-out verbal/physical war akin to The Game’s infamous battle
with G-Unit.
“At this time, I have convinced Buck to take the higher road and not respond
to the petty back and forth with an obviously scorned and angry man [50 Cent],” Williams told AllHipHop.com. “I
am sure if need be there are plenty explosive G-Unit secrets that he could put out there from the inner workings of the crew,
but he’s going to take the high road. He’s not interested in a pissing match with G-Unit because he’s moved
on with his life since April, when he was kicked out the final time.”
With the full audio
conversation being leaked on www.thisis50.com, fans have debated whether Buck’s authenticity as a street artist can
still be accepted.
Many cite Buck’s deference to 50 and emotional laments in the audio
as cause for concern.
“Everybody out here already knows what a real cat Buck is,”
Williams clarified. “I don’t think anyone in the streets thinks Young Buck is soft-if anything, they know he’s
real and he’s emotional. That’s what makes him such a great rapper. He’s a real man, thinking he was having
a real conversation with 50 Cent, not someone who’d record it, doctor it up, and put it out a year later to try and
build hype to sell a G-Unit compilation CD.”
Blue Williams is a well known and highly
respected manager in the industry.
The veteran has successfully guided the careers of Nas, Outkast,
and Nick Cannon.
And he expects to do the same with Young Buck but steering him away from a
blood feud with his former camp.
“We are focusing on TV and film opportunities, touring,
recording a super album, and continuing to build TennAKey Watches, Cashville Records, and David Brown clothing. Buck is a
superstar and plans to show the world!”
50 Cent has not commented on the leak or comments
from Buck’s camp at press time.

Young Buck Speaks On "Friendship" W/ G-Unit, ''50 Cent Has Never Been To My House''
Young Buck hasn't spoken much about his ousting from
G-Unit since 50 Cent revoked Buck's membership last month. But the Cashville emcee aired a few grievances recently, and got candid
about his real relationships with Sha Money XL, The Game, Snoop Dogg, and Fif.
"A lot of this sh*t that 50's doing towards my situation, I'm
just not used to," Buck said during an interview with the XM radio show "Raw With Mz. Kitti." "I'm
a street n*gga, I ain't used to n*ggas just saying sh*t and just doing any of this sh*t. I'm like, 'hold up ...'"
Though Buck was kicked out of G-Unit, he's still signed to the label. The ousting changed friendships more than it may record sales.
"The minute that 50 went public and said, 'yo Buck, you kicked out of G-Unit,' Sha Money pretty much
disappeared from me for like two, three weeks," he said of his long-time manager. "No contact at all. After that
situation, I went to calling Sha, because he's my manager, and Sha just disappeared."
But
Buck still considers Sha to be a friend.
"Sha Money was more than just a manager to me,"
he continued. "At the end of the day, Sha Money was, still is my friend. Sha's in a situation dealing with both of
these things -- he's a friend of 50 Cent, he's my manager. Outside of that, we've growed our friendship. I'm
Sha's best man on his wedding."
But he's gained a couple of alliances out of the turmoil, too. One
happens to be another ousted member of G-Unit.
"I haven't gotten on no phone conversations
and actually spoke to Game, but he's reached out to a few people that's around me just to show his support like, 'yo
Buck, f*ck whatever's going on, I just wanna see your well being, as long as you aight,'" Buck said. "That's
love and I ain't even got that call from Banks and Yayo, and we ain't got no issues with
each other. The issue was from 50."
According to Buck, he and Fif were never all that tight
anyway.
"50 Cent has never been to my house," he explained. "50 don't know
where I live, on my child's life. I don't even think he'd know my child's first and last name if I asked him."
On the other hand, Snoop gave Buck his support personally.
"[Snoop
Dogg] comes to my city, Cashville, Tennessee," he said. "This motherf*cker really showed my city more love than
any motherf*cker... and that goes for anybody and everybody. He hung out in the hood and the projects - sh*t like that, you
can't buy with money. Money can't buy that sh*t. I appreciate that sh*t more than anything in my life. It was so real."
Buck is currently working on establishing his new label Cashville Records and his new line, David
Brown Clothing.
"I'm focused at this point and I'mma stay this way," Buck said. "I'm more happier than I've ever been in my career. I ain't
lying."
Young Buck Responds To 50 Cent's Allegations With New Song
'I do make mistakes like any other man,' Buck raps in 'My Interview.'
As of now, Young Buck still hasn't formally answered MTV News' requests for comment on allegations
made a few days ago by 50 Cent and G-Unit — allegations that drug problems (includingcocaine and syrup) and
inconsistent behavior were among the reasons why he was dismissed from the group. However, on Saturday afternoon (April 19),
multiple sources sent MTV News a new song by the Tennessee MC.
As predicted by 50 Cent, Buck responded to the Unit's MTV interview in song, but it's not the loaded
dis anthem Fif was expecting. Buck's new record is called "My Interview,"and he speaks frankly in the song about some of the
recent issues. "Damn right I'm sipping syrup, flipping birds to get what I deserve," Buck raps in the opening verse. "And
I hear the same things that you heard/ That '50 kicked him out' or 'Buck sniffs coke and he flips out'/ It's too late, the
whole world know what I be about/ Sh--, I do make mistakes like any other man/ Sh--, I recoup off an album, quicker than you
can ... Am I loyal? Dr. Dre can answer that for ya."
The second verse — although Buck doesn't mention 50's or his own name — could be interpreted
as a reference to his and Fif's once-close relationship and its deterioration. Buck makes Biblical references to Cain and
Abel in the lyrics.
On the chorus, an unknown performer sings, "It ain't nothing I ain't been through/ Seen the evil
sh-- that men do."
Buck comes in, declaring, "This ain't nothing to me."
The singer rejoins the chorus, crooning, "Muthaf---- we ain't been cool."
As the record closes out, Buck ends with a sermon-like rhyme, admitting, "I had my hand and nose
in the 'D.' "
Although it is still unclear where the song will officially appear, producer J.A. recently told MTV
News that he and Buck are working on a mixtape called Honorable Discharge: Cashville Chronicles that should be out
in the coming weeks. Buck also has a DVD called "A Billion Buck$" slated for release June 10.
Although he is no longer
a member of the group, Buck is still signed to G-Unit Records. According to 50, Buck will also appear on the Unit's Terminate
on Sight LP when it is released June 24.
Young Buck Makes Moves Despite G-Unit Ouster
Young Buck may be out of 50 Cent’s G-Unit rap group, but the rapper continues to make business moves on his own as
his Cashville Records imprint has inked a new deal through Decon, to release his documentary DVD, A Billion Bucks.
The A Billion Bucks double disk DVD/CD, which was shot and edited for Decon’s by Jason Goldwatch, who has
worked with Ludacris, Young Jeezy, Damian Marley and others.
The DVD documents the life and times of Young Buck and the day-to-day struggles he faces as a worldwide rap star.
Viewers will watch Young Buck as he opens up his life to the camera, at the recommendation of his personal psychiatrist.
The former G-Unit rapper is featured in the DVD traveling through the South Side housing projects of Tennessee, Cuba, through
the United States on a tour and even on back wood fishing excursion.
“The greatest aspect of shooting with Buck was the mutual respect and genuine curiosity that developed between us,”
said Jason Goldwatch, director of the film. “We are such different people, from such different places, and over the
course of our travels and experiences finding actually, we are very much the same. And the camera was there to capture the
frankness, the dirt, the openness, and the realness of it all. It was an amazing experience.”
The double disc DVD/CD features 3 new unreleased music videos, six new tracks from Young Buck, C-Bo, Tha Outlawz, 615 and
a complete photo gallery.
A Billion Bucks is slated to hit stores on June 10.
Young Buck will also hit the road in to support the DVD in June, shortly after the release.
“Young Buck Is No Longer In G-Unit”-50 CENT
50 Cent has made it clear about the status of Young Buck, one of his artists who has had a shaky relationship with the
company for several months.
50 Cent revealed today [April 7] that the Tennessee rapper was no longer in G-Unit
the group, but would still record for the label.
“You can look at it and see that’s Game [former G-Unit
rapper] all the way. I was giving him a chance, giving him the benefit of the doubt [to remain with the group]. You can take
this as an official notice right here – pretty much you can say: Young Buck is no longer in the group G-Unit, but signed
to G-Unit [Records] as a solo artist,” 50 Cent told DJ Envy, a co-host on the Hot 97 Morning Show with Miss Jones.
Most
recently, Young Buck revealed that he had not collected any royalty income as an artist on G-Unit Records, a subsidiary of
Interscope. Those reports were quickly dispelled by Sha Money XL, manager of Young Buck, who said the rapper was “waving
the G-Unit flag strong.”
“There has been a new rumor going around that 50 Cent has not paid Young Buck
any royalties," Sha Money XL told AllHipHop.com. "I, as Buck’s manager and as former President of G-Unit Records, want
to make it clear: that is false. Young Buck has cleared over $10 million dollars working under 50 Cent’s and my guidance.”
Young
Buck, born David Darnell Brown, was expected to appear on Shoot to Kill, the follow up to G-Unit’s 2003
debut album titled Beg For Mercy.
Young Buck once was to lead the charge for 50 Cent’s G-Unit South imprint.
Instead, the rapper started Cashville Records and signed rap vet C-Bo and The Outlawz, who were a part of Tupac’s inner
circle of emcees.
He has also started David Brown clothing and TenAkey Timepieces to supplement his rap offerings.
50
Cent and The Game initially parted ways, because the Compton upstart wouldn't assume beefs with Nas and Fat Joe that the rest
of G-Unit had declared.
[admin's note: Young Buck will be much
better off when he leaves 50 Cent alone, for good. If 50 wants to be the only man on his label then he should only sign women.
All that corny ass beefing is infantile. We applaud Young Buck for walking away from that nonsense and focusing on what's
really important, the stability of his family. If it don't make dollars then it don't makes sense. Nothing has popped
in all this time that 50 Cent has been beefing. He's like the boy who cried wolf.
Dubcnn had the great opportunity of sitting down with Young Buck for an in-depth interview. Buck
talks to us about his label Cashville Records, signing the Outlawz and C-Bo, the "Product Of The South" compilation and what
to expect from it, working with Brotha Lynch, and his love for the West Coast.
We also talk about his relationship with G-Unit, his upcoming solo album, the G-Unit album, his past
problems with Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled and The Game, his ventures outside of music, Bucks predictions for 2008 and much more.
As ever, you can read this exclusive interview below and we urge you to leave feedback on our forums
or email them to nima@dubcnn.com.
Dubcnn: We're right here with Young Buck. What's going on with you Buck?
Shit man, getting
to the money, Cashville muthafuckin' records! I've really just been stretching out, doing shows for my last project "Buck
The World", you know a nigga don't stop touring as far as doing shows. And I'm just getting focused with my own label, being
that I'm about to drop my first project April 1st, it's titled "Product Of The South". I took my label to Sony Red, so you
can look forward to a muthafuckin' album that's about to be crazy!
Dubcnn: The "Product Of The South" is that
"Cashville Compilation" you had announced, right? Same thing?
You damn right! That's what it is. It's a compilation
but it's more like an album to me, because it's all pretty much my artists, my Cashville Records family which is the Outlawz,
C-Bo from the West Coast, 615 and the Lil Wayne of my crew, his name is Sosa, he's my little silent weapon that I'm about
to unleash to the game. So at the end of the day, I'm preparing myself, dealing with the executive meetings and shit, my clothing
line is about to launch off, as well as my watch the Ten-A-Key Timepiece, so my hands have been full. I've been getting to
the money!
Dubcnn: You released the first single "Ridin' Down The Freeway" with the Outlawz a while ago, can
we expect to see a video for that?
Yeah you sure can! I actually just licensed that record to Greg Street for his
first single, his album is coming out in '08 also. I'm dropping another single from the compilation in the next two weeks
from the "Product Of The South". "Ridin' Down The Freeway" was the first single, which like you said was produced by Hi-Tek,
me and the Outlawz, and it's doing damn good! I wanted to put a different flavor of music out, and they did too. You got a
lot of different flavors right now, you got your Soulja Boy's with him doing his thang, you got T.I. and Jeezy, and we wanted
to be totally different, authentic, and get the streets something that they can ride to, you know?
Dubcnn: What
can fans expect from the "Product Of The South" musically?
Shit man, we speak that ghetto gospel! The Outlawz and
'Pac said it best, that's pretty much what type of artist my label is surrounded with. You're going to get the record for
the clubs and things of that nature, but the focus of our music is reality rap, speaking to the people that's still dealing
with the struggle or those that's in the struggle.
Being a muthafucka that's as successful as I am and still being in the projects - I'm in the fuckin'
projects as we speak - being that I'm a person that feels that environment, dealing with people that's not as fortunate as
me, it just makes my music more, I'd say, up to date than those that are at a different level and don't associate themselves
with that environment. That's the environment I come from, I disassociated myself from it as far as the illegal activity goes,
but I'm still here with my people, you understand? With the music, we push more of that ghetto gospel, reality rap lane, that
gangsta shit I should say.
Dubcnn: Is it all in-house features and production or can we expect outside people?
You
can definitely look forward to my own in-house production, I produce myself, as well as my other producer, he goes by the
name of Bar None, but it's production on this album from Drama Boy, Zaytoven, a lot of producers that just come through. If
you're a fan of Young Buck then you know that my albums have always had that worldwide feel, you can feel it through the production,
and you can expect that same feel from the albums that drop on Cashville Records. I'm always going to mix up the music with
different producers I believe in, it ain't the name that I look for, I just look for the good music.
Dubcnn:
What about guest appearances?
You can expect to hear C-Bo of course, Outlawz, myself, my group 615, Sosa, Plies,
Young Jeezy's on the album, Devin The Dude, Brotha Lynch Hung is on the album..
Dubcnn: How did you hook up
with Brotha Lynch?
He's connected with C-Bo, and I've been a fan of Brotha Lynch from day one, so I reached out
to him, cause I got a lot of other individuals around me that be on the line with him, and we just made it happen, you understand
what I'm saying? Real niggas do real thangs, and we connected. I just really respect them types of dudes, the Brotha Lynch's
and the C-Bo's, who I feel like ain't getting their just due out here in the game, and they've actually been making better
music than half of the industry that you see, and they're making a lot of money independently with it.
So I had to bring their gangsta to more of a worldwide feel and let the world know that they've been
doing this shit, and that's where you see my association with Brotha Lynch. He's been doing this shit, his shit is still right,
so it's only right for me to fuck with him.
Dubcnn: Any other artists that you missed?
For those
who I may have missed, cause it's a lot of muthafuckas on the album, no disrespect to ya'll, that was just to name a few.
Dubcnn:
When will the CD drop in stores?
April 1st is the official release date for the album. You can expect to hear another
single within the next two weeks, and I'm not decided fully on which one it's going to be. Actually, I'm deciding today! *Laughs*
So just stay tuned, it's coming to a hood near you, you know what I mean?
Dubcnn: You signed C-Bo to your label,
I believe Bo is somebody you looked up to when you were coming up?
You damn right! Hell yeah! Bo was a dude that
actually had dealings with my city as I was a young buck, a true young buck, coming up. So he actually knows the network of
Nashville, or Cashville Ten-A-Key, so he used to dip around my way in the streets back then, and as I came up in the music,
I've always listened to C-Bo and I've always been a true fan of C-Bo's music, so it was almost like an honor, as well as it
is with the Outlawz, to work and have them a part of my label, because I look at them as the muthafuckas that pioneered me
to do what I do. Those was the cats that stayed in my tape deck as I came up, so for me to actually have them amongst what
I'm doing is blessing.
Dubcnn: You know, a lot of people say "Oh nothing is gonna come out on all these G-Unit
sub labels anyway..." What do you think of that?
Well, my label is not a G-Unit sub-label, my label is my label.
It's totally different from the whole G-Unit entity, period. G-Unit, I'm a part of it, it's what I'm signed to, but my label
Cashville Records is totally Young Buck, so that's the way it goes. I'm the Vice President at this point and Sha Money XL
is the president at this point, so it's a totally different entity from anything G-Unit. The connection between G-Unit and
my label is Young Buck.
Dubcnn: You've always been repping for 'Pac, and the raw emotion in your voice always
reminded me a bit of 2Pac, is having the Outlawz on your label a way of showing respect?
Nah, not by far, cause
at the end of the day my respect for 'Pac was there before I actually was on line with the Outlawz. Honestly, me dealing with
the Outlawz is a way of getting some real good music, some real truthful ghetto gospel music out here back to the world in
'08. I think that feeling kind of left us, honestly, in the late 90's, when we was really respecting music for the music and
the authenticity of the music.
Now, no disrespect, but a lot of the shit is everywhere, but I like music that has meaning, meaning
that marks time. You can put a muthafuckin' CD in and say "I remember what I was doing when I first heard that fuckin' song!"
So why not remember it by having some real individuals give you the story of that music? I've always remembered and marked
my times through the Outlawz and through 2Pac Shakur, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, honestly. I would call myself a Down South/West Coast
artist if you was to put a mark on me.
My swagger's West Coast, I'm breathing around them, my family's West Coast. I feel like the most
love I got is on the West Coast! I'm born in the South, but honestly when I'm on the West Coast, whether it's Bloods, Crips,
Mexicans, whatever gang, them niggas almost give me that honor as if I was 'Pac, you know? So I see that feeling and I've
always respected the West Coast to the utmost. The West Coast is going to let you know, this is what it is. At the end of
the day, I fuck with those that fuck with me, and just being around that whole music camp, as a youngster, I've been through
Death Row at a point in time in life. I never got a chance to breathe around 'Pac or none of that, but dealing with some of
the same individuals, it's been there before I actually got to the point of signing the Outlawz.
So it's just about giving the world something fresh and new, as far as Cashville Records goes. It's
a new brand, the name has been branded Cashville through me, it's a new feel, and the artists we've heard from before like
C-Bo and the Outlawz, we know what they're capable of doing. So expect the unexpected, cause we really work hard over this
way to accomplish the goal that we've set ourselves.
Dubcnn: Have you also had a chance to work with 40 Glocc
who's also with Infamous/G-Unit?
Yeah man, 40 Glocc is my homeboy, you can expect to hear music with me and 40
Glocc, he's been putting shit down for a long time. My label is a way to provide lanes for a lot of these artists out here
that got that level of music, that gangsta rap. You can't be speaking on this gangsta shit if you never lived this shit or
come from this environment. The shit gotta match for you to be a part of Cashville Records, that's a rule for us. I feel like
as long as the person is real with themselves and real as far as the music goes, that's what gets you somewhere. That's what
I look for in an artist.
Dubcnn: You appeared with them on "God's Plan" from Hi-Tek's album, that was a great
song, how did that get created?
Man, Hi-Tek is pretty much considered a brother from another mother to me. When
we get around each other, we just fire. We actually made the "Driving Down The Freeway" record and the "God's Plan" record
at the same time, in the studio with Hi-Tek. He was playing us music, and every beat it was like "I gotta have this one!"
I find myself doing 4 or 5 records with Hi-Tek cause he allows me to have that freedom with his music, much respect to Hi-Tek,
ya'll make sure to go pick up his album, he produced one of the hottest singles that's out right now, "Driving Down The Freeway",
featuring me and the Outlawz!
Dubcnn: You're also a part of Sha Money XL's One Stop Shop company, what does that represent?
That
represents every producer in America. I mean for those that made it and for trying to make it. Sha Money is actually my manager,
he's the president of my company and he's a good individual all around the board. His experience with this music business
is something that money couldn't pay for, and at the end of the day I think the One Stop Shop is a way that Sha Money created
and it started off last year where a lot of producers from all over the world was able to come to a convention for a weekend
and shop their music, meet different producers for a weekend.
We also sit and judge and have a beat competition and the winner pretty much wins a management contract
with Sha Money and a lot of different things. At the end of the day it's just a way to connect with a lot of different producers
around the world and give them an opportunity and let other producers connect with each other. Sha Money being a producer
himself, it's a way for him to stay active and keep the business rolling and keep other producers being able to shop their
music.
Dubcnn: I think you had a few tracks to beats from German producer Phrequincy who's signed to Sha Money's
company, what happened to those?
Definitely! Phrequincy is a homeboy of mine, you can expect to hear from him on
my "Product Of The South" compilation, he produced a couple tracks on there. Phrequincy is my dude, he's from Germany, overseas,
and what always amazes me about Phrequincy is that for him being overseas, his music is more up to date than some American
beats.
So that lets me know he stays on his game, and outside of that, he got some good ass weed! *laughs*
Good looking bro, I was out there in Germany and Phrequincy got me some good ass shit! Holla! I fucks with Phrequincy man
he's produced a lot of shit, mixtape wise for me and everything, bro. Honestly man, I toss a lot of producers tracks out on
mixtapes without even having a real business part in the music, but Phrequincy is one of the dudes like "Nah, my dude, it's
cool!"
A lot of producers be tripping, I don't blame them, because it's their work, but when I do make a
move I always try to come back to those producers and work with them or work for them in some kind of way, being that sometimes
these producers make shit that's undeniable. Sometimes that shit be biting you in the ass, so shouts out to all the producers
that don't trip when I do play that roll, you know?
Dubcnn: Let's get to your solo music, you recently leaked
a new song called "NY City", tell us about that.
New York City man! Honestly man, I'm so crazy about that Phil
Collins record "I Can Feel It In The Air", the sample that's playing in that record, once I heard it was like "I gotta do
this shit." I'm a Southern based artist, that's surrounded by New York artists, so New York has a feel for Young Buck I think
that's deeper than any other Southern artist that's out there.
New York knows that I'm a part of them, and that record is to respond to New York and let them know
thank you for respecting me, because that's a hard market to get any kind of love in, from any kind of way! They showed me
respect to the fullest and I'm just giving it back to them, you know? Same way, I need to make one for L.A. and the same way
for the Ville and shit, but that's just me showing New York some love back, cause I know that's a hard fuckin' market to tap
into. They fucks with Young Buck!
Dubcnn: So when can we expect your upcoming solo album?
It will
definitely be out before October, that's what Jimmy Iovine said! Jimmy Iovine gave me a big ol' bankroll and said "You GOT
to make sure you put an album out before October!" So I said "Aight man!" So I'm doing something right!
Dubcnn:
This will be your third album, what are you trying to achieve with this?
I feel like first of all, my second album
didn't get its just due as far as the promotion from Interscope. The economy itself was down, and everything else, so I feel
like with that record, it was a record that was put out in the midst of turmoil throughout the world. So I just continue to
do like I do now, hustling and getting as much as I can get out of the record, but prepare for this third record with which
I'm pretty much trying to establish Young Buck as an individual solo artist.
I think that's been pretty hard for Interscope to market me as a solo artist when I'm amongst a crew
that's as big as G-Unit. At the end of the day, you gotta separate me when it comes to my solo projects and market me in a
different way than you would market a G-Unit album or anything of that nature. So it's just about growing and with my third
album I wanna show the world my growth musically and just pretty much deliver another one of the reality fuckin' albums that
you can listen to from top to bottom.
Dubcnn: There were reports on the internet a few days ago, that Mobb Deep
& Lloyd Banks won't be releasing new albums on G-Unit? Is there any truth to that?
I have no fuckin' idea about
that shit!
Dubcnn: You know how shit keeps popping up on the internet about G-Unit, every other week it's like
"Young Buck left G-Unit!"
Yeah. I mean at the end of the day I'm still a part of what G-Unit got going, I'm a part
of the group and everything. I don't know exactly when the G-Unit album is dropping, I have a boss which is 50 Cent when it
comes to G-Unit. When he decides to make whatever moves dealing with G-Unit, you will see me present. Other than that, I gotta
stay focused on Cashville Records, I got a album that's dropping April 1st, "Product Of The South", so it ain't no time for
me play at all.
Dubcnn: How far into the album are you right now?
Man, if I was to drop an album
tomorrow, I would be comfortable. I work that much, I got that many records, but I never stop working. I'm ready, I can tell
you that much.
Dubcnn: So you said the album is dropping before October?
Yup!
Dubcnn: Which
up and coming artists are you feeling right now, is there anybody specific you're routing for in '08?
Yeah I'm riding
for my own artists, in particular one of them is Sosa man, he's like the newest breed from my label, he's the youngest artist
on my label. He's almost considered my Lil Wayne of the label. He's probably one of the most talented on the label, so I'm
definitely interested in seeing how the world responds to him.
Dubcnn: You've never been one to hold your tongue,
you recently had situations with DJ Khaled and Lil Wayne, what's the status on those.
At the end of the day it
is what it is I don't hold grudges, I speak my mind and say what I gotta say and I move on. I don't really hold it in and
I don't really consider DJ Khaled as beef at all, or Lil Wayne! I just considered it at the time as a way of me having to
let them know that I'm aware of the things that they was doing wrong, as far as dealing with me. It's done from my end, you
ain't gonna hear me breathing on a dead issue. It's more wars to fight out here, so I pretty much speak on something and that's
it. Trust me, I wouldn't speak on it if it was that serious, you wouldn't hear about shit. But I've never looked at any of
that shit as a beef, honestly. I've always looked at it like some bullshit, and I'ma adress the bullshit. But other than that
more power to DJ Khaled.
Dubcnn: Did Khaled finally play your shit?
At the end of the day I hope
he chooses to play my shit. And Lil Wayne, whatever I said about him, I've had a chance to speak with Lil Wayne since then
verbally, and he had the chance to speak his mind, and we've moved on! I've even spoken to Baby since then, I had a conversation
with him that was real good, so my whole thing is, let's get to the money!
At this point, it's about riding with those that's riding with you, and the bullshit don't get to
the money no quicker on my way, and if I can't get to the money, then it's some bullshit. That's the same thing that me and
Baby was having a conversation about, like "Look my nigga, let's get to the money!" So that's what we gonna do. Same thing
with Khaled, I have no issues. I hear Fat Joe saying his thangs, but until it comes further than just a mouth thing, I don't
even have a problem with dude, because it's like "You do what you do, cause I'm doing me!"
Dubcnn: I know the
Game situation is a dead issue, but a few months ago it was like ya'll had a conversation...
Man I ain't tripping
man! We had a conversation, we deaded that shit, tell Game I said "Whatup!"
Dubcnn: Aight. What's the status
on the G-Unit album "Shoot To Kill"? When can we expect that?
Whenever the fuck 50 decides to make that shit crack,
we're gonna make that shit happen. Outside of that, you definitely can expect from me to do my goddamn thang on that bitch.
Expect for another classic G-unit album like it's always been. The first one was a classic, so expect this one to be a fuckin'
classic!
Dubcnn: Where would you like to see yourself at this time next year?
I definitely would
like to see myself with a successful company, Cashville Records, hopefully a Platinum record or at least a Gold record on
the shelves, and I would like to have a real successful solo album!
Dubcnn: Record sales are struggling right
now, are there any outside ventures that you're considering right now besides selling CD's?
Right! You can definitely
expect my clothing line, which I just had a big meeting with dealers for, I'm gonna be in all the Macy's and all the big stores
around the world next month with my clothing line. It's titled David Brown, Tenakey clothing, and my watch will be out next
month also, it's titled the Ten-A-Key timepiece. You can also go on my site www.tenakeytimepiece.com and check it out, as
well as the clothes man. I'm definitely getting to the money outside of rap, I got to!
Dubcnn: What are your
predictions for the rap game in 2008?
I think it will definitely be better. The world will be better as soon as
hurry up and get Bush's ass up outta there and get Barack in, in the place where he needs to be. I think it will be interested
to watch, you can definitely expect the unexpected from Young Buck though!
Dubcnn: Before we go is there anything
else you'd like to let everybody know?
April 1st, the hardest fuckin' album that you've heard from Young Buck yet,
it's coming, "Product Of The South", straight up and down!

Young Buck Back With Cash Money? [ROTFFLMFAO]
OMG, COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!
Last night, Cash Money Records rapper Lil Wayne performed at the Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga Tennessee. At the
end of the show, Lil Wayne brought out surprise guest Young Buck, who revealed that he was resigning to the Cash Money Records
imprint. Young Buck, who hails from Nashville, Tennessee, originally signed with Cash Money Records at the age of 17, in 1997.
He left the label around 2000. After a brief stint with Juvenile’s UTP Records, Young Buck signed with 50 Cent’s
G-Unit imprint. Details of the proposed deal were not available. Young Buck is preparing to release the upcoming compilation
album Product of the South via his Cashville Records imprint, which is distributed by Red Distribution/Sony.
SOHH Exclusive: Young Buck Makes Moves W/Out 50 Cent, "I Wanted A Separate Sound & Feel From G-Unit"
After being out of the spotlight for a minute, Tennessee's favorite son Young Buck is back on his grind.
SOHH caught up with Buck as he explained where he's been, his seemingly distant relationship with 50 Cent and
his new power moves.
With a new label, Cashville Records, a new look - he's cut off his trademark braids - and a new album ready to drop, Buck
says that he's been patiently waiting for his turn.
"I just basically been touring, promoting my last project and getting ready for the release of my new album, Product
Of The South," Buck told SOHH. "Buck is in a good place. A lot of people want to see me succeed and that's why
I created my own brand, Cashville Records. I'm just stepping up to the executive bracket. I'm still a part of G-Unit,
50 is still my boss when I'm doing G-Unit and I'm my boss over here. I'm trying to establish me and just getting to my money."
The new album, which is slated to hit stores on April 1, will feature guest appearances by Young Jeezy, Plies, Devin
The Dude and Brotha Lynch Hung with production by Hi-Tek, Drumma Boy and Sha Money XL. The album will be released on the rapper's own label and, according to Buck, will be a totally different regime and sound
than his previous work with G-Unit.
"It's a totally new feel to the music," he said. "I can definitely tell you it's gonna be all fresh sounds. I'm working
with new producers. I wanted a separate sound and feel from G-Unit. I mean, how could it be a new label if I went with the
same stuff as ya'll used to hearing from G-Unit?"
With the rapper noticeably missing from overseas tour dates with the Unit, people have speculated on his relationship with
G-Unit boss 50 Cent. Buck says that while the relationship has changed, he wouldn't call it beef.
"I wouldn't say that the relationship has deteriorated, " he explained. "At the end of the day, I been over here getting
money and establishing me. My relationship with 50, it is what it is. 50's becoming bigger by the day."
"We don't communicate as much as we used to, but that's cool because I'm not the type of artist that's gonna wait for the CEO to make a move for
me," he continued. "I respect 50 to the utmost. Even though at times to the world it seems like 50 ain't down with me, I still
stay loyal to the n*gga because he put me in this position. It's just he's more focused on 50 more than anybody. Everybody
wonders, what's up with Buck and Fif? He's a business man. He gets the final word and makes the [business] decisions for G-Unit.
Anything outside of that, you gotta ask 50 about."
Rumors of beef aside, Buck says that he's focusing on the music, with another G-Unit group album in the works but says
that no release date has been set as of yet. His ties with the G-Unit camp are apparently still as in tact as ever, as Buck
will also be making an appearance at Sha Money XL's One Stop Shop producer's conference on March 8-9 in Phoenix, AZ.
The conference is set to be an outlet for up and comers and a platform for hip-hop's next generation of beat makers to
get advice from the big boys. In addition to that, he's laying the foundation for his Cashville Records to be a success and
says that he's even willing to work with 50's former adversaries, even long time Fiddy rival The Game.
"My label is Cashville, not G-Unit," Buck said. "We'll see who chooses to holler and if it's a positive move that's going
to benefit the label and my artists, then we'll work it out. It's a whole new year, there's new money to go get."
A lot of those situations [between 50 and other artists] were obviously not my situations," he added. "I'm open to those
that are open to me. I ain't trippin' if [Game] ain't trippin'. I ain't trippin' if the world ain't trippin'. I'm in a lane
where I got other people's lives to think about too now. This is a fresh Buck."
And though he says that he feels that Interscope could have done more to market and promote his last album Buck The
World, he says that nothing will stop this newest disc from reaching the heights that it's supposed to.
"This record is ghetto gospel, reality rap that identifies with the people still in the struggle," he said. "I'm bringing
that feeling back to the game. I'm still gonna make those club, party, feel good songs but look how high these gas prices
are. People need to get back to talking about something on these records. As long as there's a mixtape scene or an internet,
my presence will always be felt. Buck ain't going nowhere."
Product Of The South will hit stores on April 1 on Cashville/Sony.
Young Buck Denies Robbery Rumors; More Violence In Nashville
By Roman Wolfe
G-Unit rap star Young Buck released a statement today (November 26) denying rumors that he was robbed
in Nashville, Tennessee.
Reports surfaced that Young Buck was assaulted and that his watch, diamond chain and Bentley were taken
from him at gunpoint outside of Nashville nightclub, The Place.
He admitted that he was involved in an altercation over the weekend, but denied he was the victim of
a robbery.
"Ain't nobody robbed me for a thing," Young Buck told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "There was an altercation
between me and a dude here in Tennessee and during that altercation, I lost a watch which came off my arm. But as far as someone
taking my Bentley, my Bentley is sitting pretty without a scratch on it, right here in my driveway and my jewelry is right
here too. I guess this is what people wanted to happen. I didn't get robbed for anything."
The rapper also dismissed reports that the source of the dispute was over an unpaid debt.
"I don't owe anyone money and the dude who I had the altercation with knows me and I know him and we
already had our words since the altercation happened, so whoever is posting this or commenting on this recklessly is trying
to take Buck down but you can't take Buck down," the rapper stated.
Young Buck’s incident is the latest in a string of violent altercations involving rappers in
Nashville, Tennessee.
Two local rappers, Paper and Allstar Cashvilles Prince, have been feuding since an October rap battle
turned hostile and resulted in blood shed throughout the city.
Paper and Allstar Cashville Prince were once signed to the same label.
Allstar is also affiliated with Cash Money Records through a deal with rapper Yo Gotti’s Inevitable
Entertainment record label.
There have been at least six shootings that have left eight people wounded, including a high profile
broad daylight shooting earlier this month, in front of a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant that left one man in critical condition.

he came by giving these kids the best education they deserve.
"The Nashville Alliance for Public Education

Multi-Platinum Rapper Young Buck to Release Sophomore Set, Buck The World
G-Unit's Southern Soldier Young Buck will
release his sophomore solo album, Buck The World, on March 20th 2007. It's been two and a half years since the Tennessee titan
released his platinum plus solo debut Straight Outta Cashville and he is more than ready to prove it was worth the wait.
Buck
The World is loaded with bangers like the first single "I Know You Want Me" and the rowdy follow up single "Get Buck." The
album features production by some of the most talented producers in the game, Eminem, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Hi-Tek and Jazze Pha.
Guest appearances include Snoop Dogg, TI, 8Ball and Bun B to name a few...
"I think I created a masterpiece here. You know you have to reinvent yourself every time you come out. I put my heart in
it and I think my fans are gonna love it. I even did a song with Chester Bennington from Linkin Park. I'm telling you this
album is crazy," states Young Buck. The album was co-executive produced by 50 Cent and Sha Money XL.
In addition to
giving great music, Young Buck has been giving back to his community through The G-Unity Foundation. Recently he surprised
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee with a $15,000 donation for their Extreme Game Room Makeover. In November 2006
he also continued with his support of the Nashville Alliance for Public Education and the Fannie Battle Day Home for Children.________________________________________________________________________
New Young Buck Album Penciled In For March
Originally due in late November, rapper Young Buck's sophomore album, "Buck the World," is back on track for a March 20
release via G-Unit/Interscope. Buck, who told Billboard.com just a few weeks before the planned Nov. 28 release date that
"When everything is feeling right, then I'll release it," says he feels the world is now ready for the album.
"I think
I created a masterpiece here," the Tennessee native said in a statement. "I put my heart in it and I think my fans are gonna
love it."
"Buck the World," which was co-executive produced by 50 Cent and Sha Money XL, features production from superstars
like Eminem, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Hi-Tek and Jazze Pha. T.I., Young Jeezy, Pimp C, Snoop Dogg, Trick Daddy, Lyfe Jennings, Trey
Songz, Linkin Park's Chester Bennington and Buck's G-Unit brethren make guest appearances.
The first single off the
album is "I Know You Want Me," featuring and produced by Jazze Pha. The follow-up track is intended to be "Get Buck," which
ships to U.S. radio outlets Feb. 26.
"Buck the World" follows 2005's "Straight Outta Cashville," which debuted at No.
3 on The Billboard 200.
As previously reported, Buck recently opened a clothing store (Cashville Clothing) and a restaurant (Cashville Chicken
& Waffles) in his hometown of Nashville. He's also been giving back to the neighborhood through the G-Unity Foundation,
recently surprising the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee with a $15,000 donation for their Extreme Game Room Makeover.
